The Speech Lab is an important initiative of the Department of Communication and a partnership with the Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA). With faculty direction, the Speech Lab employs a team of students who have taken public speaking and/or other communication courses and have been intentionally trained to help their peers.

Speech Lab Tutors provide support and assistance to the campus community for presentations, public speaking, and other communication-related assignments.

Speech Lab services begin on August 24th

Tutors post appointment availability Monday through Thursday. Same-day appointments are available! In-person tutoring takes place in both Miekeljohn Hall, Room 3021 (Mondays and Thursdays) and the CORE Building, Room 343 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). There are also virtual appointment options from 5:00pm to 7:00pm throughout the week.
