Paid Peer Leadership Opportunities
For Students
If you are interested in working for the SCAA, please select the icons below for more information. We have an array of opportunities for CSU East Bay students to serve as Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders, Subject Tutors, Writing Tutors, and Peer Academic Coaches (PACs). Each position has a unique set of expectations in addition to common SCAA Learning Community guidelines. The SCAA utilizes a "common application" (one link) for all peer leadership positions.Now accepting applications for AY 2026-2027

The priority application deadline for 2026-2027 positions is February 6, 2026. We will accept applications on a rolling basis after this date. The start date is August 2026.

For Faculty/Staff Members
The heart of the SCAA’s work is a dedicated staff of student employees who serve as "peer educators." The SCAA employs undergraduate/graduate students who are interested in helping their peers engage in life-long learning; possess patience and good communication skills; are sensitive to diverse student needs; are reliable, committed, and accountable; are willing to creatively and collaboratively contribute to the advancement of the SCAA; and are interested in being a part of a community that is passionate about student success.
