Please be sure to read the timeline and instructions below before completing the form below and submitting it. The Room Change Request process occurs at the beginning of each term.
Room Change Request have the following options;
- Room Swap: You and another resident have mutually agreed to swap rooms/bedspaces.
- Room Change to Space Known: You have a specific room or bedspace in mind that you would like to request.
- Room Change to Space Unknown: You would like a different bedspace but do not have a specific room in mind.

Fall 2026 Timeline:
September 1 - September 8: Room Change Request forms may be submitted on the Housing Portal.
September 9th - September 14th:
- Assignments Team will review all submitted requests, including review of room type availability and room readiness. If your unit has an open bed space, room readiness checks may be conducted during this period, and new roommates assigned shortly thereafter.
- Residents are notified of approval/denial of their request during this period. All requests denied will be automatically placed on waitlist for upcoming options.
September 16th - September 18th: Residents who received approval will complete the check-in/out process.

Residents going through this process will receive ONE free move per academic year, provided availability and that it happens during the official Room Change Process. Additional moves, if approved, will cost $50 per change.
A submitted Room Change Request Form during the official process DOES NOT guarantee approval, and only residents who are approved may move.
Residents SHOULD NOT move apartments/rooms unless notified that the request was approved.
