…providing a sense of belonging for all students through new affinity centers and affinity-based programs; meeting the needs of our diverse student body through enhanced veteran student services, cultural month activities, and initiatives that specifically support low income, first generation, historically underrepresented student populations; and building a strong feeling of community and Cal State pride through Pioneers athletics

Increase participation in high-Impact educational practices (HIP) by taking actions like…

…strengthening career readiness tools like career mapping and employer focus groups and boosting alumni mentorship program to offer real-world support for students entering the workforce

…connecting more students with grant, scholarship, and loan information and application support; providing new ways to discover financial and educational resources, including the My Compass student portal, extended support hours, and remote access; and serving students facing homelessness, food insecurity, and other crisis situations through our H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Pioneers Excel) program
