The University will provide this complimentary pass to current students with a BayCard. (Select faculty/staff may also opt in to this service with a reduced fee.) This service is primarily paid for from parking citation revenues. The rest of the funding comes from the University Parking Department. Guidelines:
- Tap your EasyPass when you board.
- EasyPass can only be used by the student it is assigned to. All others traveling will need to pay their own fare.
- Best practice is to use a use a separate Clipper card for any other travel that requires fare. For example a Clipper Card loaded with money to use for BART, Ferry, etc.
- Make sure to register your EasyPass online. Once it is registered , it will be easier to replace if lost.
Tips:
- Arrive at the designated bus stop 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time.
- Have your EasyPass Card out and ready to tap when boarding the bus.
- The bus has a maximum passenger capacity. If the bus has reached its maximum capacity you will have to wait for the next bus.
- There can be a higher volume of riders at certain times of the day (especially in the morning). Arrive for an earlier bus, in case the one you want is full. This way you'll have time to make the next one and still get to campus on time.
