Wave Equation on Cosmological Spacetimes
The Friedman-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) spacetime is often called the Standard Model of modern cosmology (the study of the universe at the largest scales). Our research group studies the decay properties of solutions to the wave equation propagating on FLRW spacetimes. By pairing energy methods and Real Analysis tools, it is often possible to provide a precise description of the long-time behavior of solutions to this equation.
Fun Fact: Prof. Oliver was born and raised in Venezuela 🇻🇪, and lived in México D.F, México 🇲🇽. He is a first-generation college graduate, an English as a Second Language learner, and a first-generation LatinE immigrant.
