Applications of Computational Statistics in Real-World Problems and Data Science

My academic research is related to the applications of Statistics to real-world problems. I am also very interested in Computational Statistics, the use of the computer to facilitate statistical computations that summarize data, and the communication of the findings with calculations of accuracy. The areas of Statistics that I focus on for teaching and research include: Time Series Analysis, Bayesian Statistics, Data Visualization, Statistical Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and, more recently, the use of AI. Areas of application include Epidemiology, Geology, Business, Marketing, Kinesiology, Demography, and Data Science.

Fun Fact: I am an open source software and home lab enthusiast. I have been a long time user of R, Python, linux command line tools, etc. Currently running Dat Linux, Manjaro, MX, OpenBSD and Opnsense.
